Chromebook Lending Program

Adult library card holders can check out a Chromebook for a week. With Chromebook, you can access Google OS as a guest and navigate the web. Or, login to your personal Gmail account to access Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. You can check out a laptop with peace of mind; all documents and history are immediately removed from the device once your Chromebook session is over.

Chromebooks require internet access. Need WIFI? Reserve a WIFI hotspot from the Rosewood Library branch.

The WIFI hotspots are portable, so you can connect your mobile device almost wherever you are, like at home, on the bus, or in the park. Available only at the Rosewood Library branch.

How do I use a Hotspot?

To turn the Hotspot device on, press and hold the power button until you see the word “Welcome” on the LCD screen. Once you see T-Mobile on the screen, the device is ready to use.
Find the Wi-Fi network name of the Hotspot device by clicking the power button twice. Then, click the power button one more time to display the password.
The Hotspot device works on most Wi-Fi enabled devices such as laptops, desktops, smart phones and tablets. To connect your device, find the Wi-Fi network name on your device and connect to it. Enter the password you found on step 2.
The Hotspot battery will last between 8 to 24 hours depending on usage. To shut down or turn off the device completely, press and hold the power button until you see the word “Goodbye” on the LCD Screen.
